A perfect day

I’m sorry. I haven’t been updating my blog for a while because I’ve been really busy with interviews, finals, and spring break. But hey, it’s a new quarter, so I’ll try to keep up with daily posts.

Today was pretty amazing. I woke up at 7:30 because I had an interview downtown at 10:00. The interview went pretty well, too. Chicago streets are ridiculous, though – for some reason, “north” streets are not north of the river, but are north of a street named Madison. This seems like a rather random delineation and caused me to be a few minutes late for my interview as I ran for six blocks to the building where I was supposed to go. No worries, though.

I then went to two classes that I was thinking about taking – "Analytic Philosophy" and "Psychology and Biography." I ended up deciding on Psychology and Biography because the material seems more interesting to me. I went to sign up for it online, and lo and behold, a spot was open for me! I didn’t even have to hand in the pink slip that I got from the professor.

Then, I have a phone interview which also went really well. It went on for a pretty long time, too; 45 minutes. But I think that my interviewer was really happy with me. I’ll find out if my gut feeling was right in a few weeks.

I was also really excited to meet up with the girl that I’ve been sort of seeing after dinner. We met up in her room and I told her about my spring break, and then she told me about hers. Apparently, she had gone to visit her ex-boyfriend (which I didn’t know about), and was getting back together with him (which shocked the fuck out of me). I mean, what the fuck? I don't know what to say. A perfectly awful day.
